What We Offer

Rafting Trips:

• Upper Kern Half & Full Day (Class III-IV): A mix of beginner to intermediate runs—ideal for families or groups with varied skill levels. Trips range from 3–7 hours.

• Lower Kern 1 Day “Bigwater” (Class III-IV): Action-packed day trip through scenic granite canyons. Perfect for adventurous first-timers and returning paddlers.

• Lower Kern 2 Day “Sierra Escape” (Class III-IV): A relaxing overnight rafting experience with camping under the stars and gourmet river meals.

• Forks of the Kern (Class V): A legendary, expert-only 20-mile wilderness run packed with powerful whitewater. Two- to three-day trips available depending on conditions.

What to Know Before You Go

Age & Skill Requirements:

• Beginner & Family Trips: Suitable for ages 8+, no experience necessary.

• Intermediate Trips: Ages 12+, good physical condition and swimming ability recommended.

• Advanced (Forks of the Kern): Ages 16+, participants must be experienced rafters, confident swimmers, and meet specific fitness and skill criteria.

What to Bring:

• Clothing: Quick-drying layers—avoid cotton. Bring a swimsuit, rash guard, and warm layers for overnight trips.

• Footwear: Secure water shoes or sandals with heel straps are required. No flip-flops or bare feet.

• Sun Protection: Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses with a retainer strap.

• Overnight Essentials (for multi-day trips): Sleeping bag, change of clothes, toiletries. Packing list provided upon booking.

• Hydration: Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated on the river.
