Our very large family did a dog sledding excursion today with 10th Mountain Mushing, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Ethan was an outstanding host—extremely friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and he truly went above and beyond to make the day memorable for all of us.
Colorado is having a dry year, but Ethan still managed to get us onto some great snow so we could fully enjoy the experience. His dogs are clearly very well cared for, and it’s obvious that he takes immense pride in his partnership with them. Watching how he works with and talks about his dogs really added another layer of appreciation to the experience.
If you’re in the Idaho Springs, Colorado area, I would highly recommend trying this out. It’s very fairly priced and gives you a chance to experience a bit of backcountry mountain exploring in a unique and truly underrated way. Our 14-year-old daughter had an absolute blast, and it’s an experience that’s perfect for all ages.
We would absolutely do this again.

Absolutely unreal experience. Ethan, the owner of 10th Mountain Mushing delivers next-level dog sledding out right outside of Denver! It was hands-down a bucket list moment for me. His dogs are powerful, adorable, and he clearly lives and breaths mushing. Flying through the mountains is something everyone should experience in their life. I’d do it again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for something truly unforgettable!

Ticked off a bucket list item yesterday!! Ethan was great, really casual and accommodating – but equally professional. So lucky with the lack of snow around that he was able to run a traditional sled tour, and location on the drive back to Denver just made it all align. Great fun. Highly recommend
